Okay, we all like songs with feeling. But sometimes they can be too personal. "West", Grammy Award-winning Lucinda Williams' eighth album is so full of pain, hurt and rejection that it feels masochistic to listen to. The death of her mother and end of a long relationship result in a bleak album with no end in sight. The songs too are downbeat, dull, dragging and lazy. If you love Lucinda give "West" a pass.
