The title is based on the famous Oscar Wilde quote, “We're all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars”. On his third album, Malin again finds finds heroism in modern urban life with a message of optimism and defiance. His natural flair for story telling and strong song writing has won him a legion of fans including Bruce Springsteen who duets on the fantastic slow burning “Broken Radio”.

Famous names guest on the album but Jesse is firmly his own man. Glitter, the toughest rocking of his three solo albums, is rammed full with hooks, choruses and strong melodies as evidenced by the first track “Don't Let Them Take You Down”. On occasion Jesse is guilty of flirting with the pop boundaries but by and large this great collection rock'n'roll songs will leave you feeling alive and invigorated.
