Here are my favourite records this year to get your started:

Avett Brothers: I and Love and You

Passion Pit: Manners

U2: No Line on the Horizaon

Criticised by many and it's true the second half of the album, like a lot of U2 albums is quite weak (not withstanding Breathe) but once you have heard the songs live they will come to life - Magnificent, Moment of Surrender, Unknown Caller are all excellent songs.

Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

A lot of fun by a band with a great line in hooks and melodies.

Wilco: The Album

Wilco just keep getting better. This album is a real grower. Tracks like Everlasting and Country Disappeared rank among their finest.

What have you enjoyed this year (or decade as everyone now seems to be doing)?
