I was in the cinema at the weekend to see Charlie Wilson's War (it's great by the way, very witty, wonderfully written and Philip Seymour Hoffman is a joy to watch) and before the show we sat through the obligatory ads. I've never been so enchanted by the soundtrack to an ad before as I was by Nina Nina Nastasia's voice over the Volvo v70 advert.
She sings the song "Our Day Trip" from her 2006 record "On Leaving". I had to rush out and get the album, I don't know how I didn't know about her before.The song is 1.55 in length and is just about perfect except for the length. If only it lasted forever.
